Construction Materials Analysis

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) is well suited to the analysis of construction materials because it is non-destructive and non-invasive yet is able to penetrate opaque materials. As a research tool, NMR relaxometry is ideally suited for the analysis of the hardening and structure of porous materials such as gypsum and cement.

As a quality control tool, NMR is being used to measure the amount of limestone filler added to asphalt used in roofing and other products.
