In conversation with Dr. Oliver Sutcliffe

Our "On Resonance, in conversation with.." series highlights our benchtop NMR users and their applications.`

Dr. Oliver Sutcliffe is a reader in Chemistry at Manchester Metropolitan University. His main research interests are synthesis and characterisation of illicit drugs and New Psychoactive Substances (NPS), the application of NMR to routine drug testing, and biological evaluation of chronic health effects of psychoactive substances. In addition to this research, Dr. Sutcliffe is the Director of the MANchester DRug Analysis and Knowledge Exchange (MANDRAKE) partnership that facilitates rapid, robust and cost-effective chemical analysis for both harm-reduction and intelligence sharing. Most importantly, MANDRAKE provides the police with non-forensic analysis of street drugs.

To find out more from Dr. Sutcliffe about uses of benchtop NMR within MANDRAKE, please watch the video below.
